Headless aluminum aircraft rivets are fed lengthwise down the feeder
track
The rotary escapement ejects the rivets side- ways to be blowfed to
a Multi-Port Manifold
Similar feeders are attached to the Multi-Port Manifold to deliver
rivets of varying sizes to different ports on the manifold
The feeders are controlled by a remote PLC which determines the proper
rivet feed sequence. There is never more than one rivet in the Manifold
at any time.
The rivet is then blowfed to the rivet insertion equipment (not supplied
by Nasco)
Up to 15 feeders with different size rivets can be used with a single
Manifold assembly
Headed rivets can also be fed in a conventional manner and used with
a Multi-Port Manifold assembly
