- Up to 15
feeders with different size rivets can be used with a single Manifold assembly.
- Headless
aluminum aircraft rivets are fed lengthwise down the feeder track.
- The rotary
escapement ejects the rivets sideways to be blowfed to a Multi-Port Manifold.
- Similar feeders
are attached to the Multi-Port Manifold to deliver rivets of varying sizes
to different ports on the manifold.
- The feeders
are controlled by a remote PLC which determines the proper rivet feed sequence.
There is never more than one rivet in the Manifold at any time.
- The rivet
is then blowfed to the rivet insertion equipment (not supplied by Nasco).
- Headed rivets
can also be fed in a conventional manner and used with a Multi-Port Manifold
assembly.
